Public Transportation

California Plaza is easily accessible by bus and rail. Take the Metro Red or Purple Line, and exit at Pershing Square Station. Use the north escalator leading to 4th and Hill Streets. Walk one block to the bottom of California Plaza (4th and Olive Streets) and take the escalator up to the Plaza Level.

You can also access Cal Plaza on Angels Flight located on Hill Street across from Grand Central Market. 50C with Metro TAP card; $1.00 without.

Parking is available at the California Plaza Parking Structure which you can access from Lower Grand Avenue off 4th Street or Olive Street. Hourly and special event rates vary. There are no in-and-out privileges.

Event policies

 

The venue opens one hour prior to performance. Grand Performances reserves the right to hold seating areas at its discretion. Reserved seating areas are for donors who make our programming possible.

By entering California Plaza, each person consents that Grand Performances may photograph, film, videotape, record, or otherwise reproduce the image and /or voice of such person and use the same for any purpose whatsoever without any payment or liability to such person.

Please keep designated areas clear at all times.

Please use plastic, paper or aluminum containers for food and beverages. No outside alcohol is permitted on California Plaza. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased at the on-site bar for specific events.

Festivals are non-smoking and non-vaping. If you wish to smoke, please move away from seating areas. Please use trash cans to dispose of cigarette butts.

Please turn off ringers on phones, pagers, etc., during festival performances. Please move away from the seating areas to make phone calls.

While service dogs are welcome at California Plaza dogs, cats and all other pets are not allowed at performances.

The ADA defines service animals as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

Unauthorized use of recording equipment and flash equipment of any kind during any performance is prohibited.

For both human safety and to protect the property, no bicycles are to be chained to any structure, railing, tree or other property not intended for securing bicycles. In addition to a bike valet at certain shows, there are bicycle racks in the garage on the P2 level of Cal1 and on the sidewalk for public use. Please no bicycle riding on property.
