A Les Paul guitar once owned by former Whitesnake guitarist John Sykes is up for auction.
Signed by all three original members of Blue Murder-- John Sykes, Carmine Appice and Tony Franklin-- the guitar is a valuable collectible, and the only one in existence.
Sykes donated the guitar to fellow Blue Murder bandmate, Nik Green, during his bout with cancer. Green died in 2016.
Since his death, Green's wife Penny Little has been burdened by medical expenses incurred from her husband's battle with cancer. As a result, the proceeds from the auction will go towards paying for his treatment.
The auction also features a handmade Turkish cymbal signed by Carmine Appice, a banner, poster and memorial mini-shrine donated by artist Andrea Anderson.
A small portion of the proceeds will also go towards replicating Green's first classical music solo album, "Now and Ever Shall Be"-- which Little promised to complete on his behalf.
The auction ends Oct. 15. For more, visit auction.theawayteam.com/about-auction.
