Has it really been a decade since Meghan Trainor signed her major label deal and released Title, her debut album, along with the global smash hit single "All About That Bass?" Ten full years since Trainor proudly proclaimed she was bringing booty back?
Yes. Yes it has. And in that time, the songs on Title have only grown in appeal.
This anniversary double LP comes on beautiful, clear pink Vinyl and with a metallic-effect sleeve, and it looks as good was it sounds.
Musically, this is pop but it really travels across that genre-spectrum. "Dear Future Husband" is classic old rock 'n' roll doo-wop. John Legend lends his smooth pipes to "Like I'm Gonna Lose You." There really is no filler.
There are some live songs and some remastered tracks on the second LP, yet the quality never lets up. We also get a booklet of lyrics, photos and sleeve notes. Better yet, there's a sheet of stickers that were designed by Trainor's kids.
I mean, how sweet is that?
