Halle Bailey, one half of sibling duo ChloeXHalle, has released "bombastic" new single and video "Because I Love You," and it lives up to its billing.
“'Because I Love You' is a song for anyone who has ever been deeply in love," Halle said in a statement. "It’s an anthem that tells the story of all of the beautiful passion and euphoria you can feel with that person. The video dives deeper into how vulnerable it makes you feel. I hope people enjoy listening and thinking of the person they love the most.”
Halle's sweet, soaring tones are still there. This is an artist who is allowing her sound to mature though, with hip-hop elements in the verses and a spot of super-fun cursing. "I motherfucking love you babe," she sings.
The video sees her dancing on a stage, in the street, on a car -- she doesn't give a damn because she's determined to tell this fellow that she loves him.
