Alt-soul artist chlothegod has announced the release of new EP I Feel Different Every Day, and she's celebrated by also dropping a video for the track "I Know What Everyone Says About Me."
chlo says, “I Feel Different Every Day is what happens when an oversharer is trusted with a secret. It’s the quiet telling of the past and an attempt not to burst at the seams. I had tearful sessions with Mike (Irish, Executive Producer of the EP) crying about how I feel outside of my family and outside of my own life and the next day would be a wild session of joy with my best friends as we shared screenshots of exes. I’m so excited to share my ever changing experience of being a human with a mic glued to her mouth."
chlothegod remains difficult to pin down with a genre tag, and that's a huge part of the appeal. "I Know What Everyone Says About Me" sees her switch pace halfway through, as the melancholy opening gives way to higher energy and perhaps hope.
The video sees chlo being fussed over by makeup artists, sound and video peeps, when she really just wants to be herself.
