When friends and colleagues of beloved Southern California traditional country singer and songwriter Patty Booker learned that she was battling Lewy Body Dementia, they were determined to help and honor her. This led to the brand-new release, The Sound Of My Own Tune, a 17-track, various-artist tribute to Patty and her work.
Contributors include Rick Shea, Rosie Flores, James Intveld, Ronnie Mack, Jann Browne, Dan Janisch, Renee Brooks, Gary Brandin, Bob Gothar, and others, all of whom donated their time and talents to the project. Many of these artists will join producers Lisa Finnie and John Groover McDuffie at McCabe’s on Sunday, March 10, to perform highlights from the album and to show their love and support for Patty.
The Sound Of My Own Tune: An Artists’ Tribute to Patty Booker is now available on Tres Pescadores Records. The record label is donating all proceeds from the sale of the first 1,000 CDs directly to Patty Booker to help her manage medical and living expenses.
All performers are likewise donating their share of the evening’s ticket sales directly to Patty.
