Quarto Valley Records recording artists The Immediate Family, a rock & roll band composed of longtime friends and legendary musicians Danny Kortchmar (guitar and vocals), Waddy Wachtel (guitar and vocals), Leland Sklar (bass), Russ Kunkel (drums) and Steve Postell (guitar and vocals), has been added to the roster of artists contributing to ALL TOGETHER NOW!, an online benefit event taking place on Saturday, April 25, 2020, beginning at 2 p.m. PDT.
The event, featuring dozens of performers including Carole King, Smokey Robinson, Rick Springfield, Paul Rodgers, Jeff Bridges, Joe Bonamassa, Lisa Loeb, Alan Parsons and many more, will be streaming live through alerttheglobe.com, alltogethernowla.org/, and Facebook Live. The program is a benefit telethon for the city of Los Angeles during the COVID-19 crisis. Viewers can donate to the L.A. City Coronavirus Relief Fund (bit.ly/lee-telethon) through a direct donation button or a text message appeal (text the word TOGETHER to 24365). 100% of the money raised will go directly to this relief fund to help Los Angeles support families and small businesses, relieve healthcare workers, provide critical medical resources, provide services to the unhoused, and fund research for COVID-19.
The Immediate Family will perform a song – recorded remotely by all five members in the safety of their own homes – and give a message in support of the L.A. Mayor’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
“The COVID-19 crisis has affected everyone, and we are very proud to have been invited to participate in this worthwhile charity event,” stated Danny Kortchmar. “The money raised by ALL TOGETHER NOW! will directly benefit our local community of Los Angeles, and I can’t think of a better reason to share our music for this meaningful cause.”
