Tenacious D has opened an auction of prized and historic memorabilia to raise funds for The Sweet Stuff Foundation and their effort to aid victims of the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris. Items in the auction include props from The Pick of Destiny Tour and Rize of the Fenix Tour, spanning the years 2006–2013. Also being auctioned are wardrobe items from Tenacious D’s Hunger Strike appearance on TRL in 2003, as well as wardrobe from the band’s 2012 music video for “Low Hangin' Fruit.” The auction officially went live on Dec. 22.
Tenacious D speaks on the auction, saying, "Our friend Josh Homme asked if Tenacious D would participate in the awareness and fundraising campaign in the wake of the recent attacks in Paris...we were eager to join the cause. This is our small but heartfelt contribution."
