Sevdaliza, a global pop icon with well over a billion career streams, sold-out live shows and culture-defining magazine covers worldwide, has signed a global partnership with Create Music Group, one of the most successful independent music and media companies in the industry. Under this new deal, Sevdaliza’s upcoming music will be released through Create’s renowned indie label, broke, co-founded and led by Andre Benz and Brandon De Oliveira. Benz is the founder of The Nations' suite of YouTube channels, which boasts a global reach of more than 60 million subscribers.
Sevdaliza embarks on a bold new chapter with the release of her single "Maria Magdalena" on March 7 as part of her newfound partnership with Create Music Group. Sevdaliza’s announcement of the upcoming single can be found on her Instagram here.
“Sevdaliza is one of the most exciting and forward-thinking artists in the world, a true cultural force with a massive global fanbase,” said Jonathan Strauss, co-founder and CEO of Create Music Group. “She could have partnered with any company in the world. The fact that she and her brilliant team elected to make Create Music Group and broke her home is hugely gratifying to everyone at this company. We look forward to being a part of her incredible journey.”
With nearly 16 million monthly listeners on Spotify and global hits like “Alibi,” which she performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last year, and “Ride or Die,” Sevdaliza’s influence on pop music fandom continues to grow. Her 2024 single “Alibi” was a defining moment, ranking as Shazam’s #1 Song of the Summer and TikTok’s #3 song globally. The track amassed over 800 million streams within months, spent 15 weeks on the Billboard Global 200 chart, and marked Sevdaliza’s debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
Musical collaborations with influential artists like Pabllo Vittar, Grimes, Tokischa, Tiësto, Yseult, and Anitta and live appearances with superstars like Karol G, have further cemented her status as a trailblazer in the avant-pop scene and a superstar presence in the global Latin music scene, leading American Vogue to name Sevdaliza “the most intriguing pop artist working now.”
The first Sevdaliza track released under the new deal is “No Me Cansare,” a duet with Latin superstar Karol G. To date the track has more than 70 Million streams globally with 39 Million views on YouTube, and 7 Million creations on TikTok spanning 7.8 Billion views.
“We're beyond thrilled to welcome Sevdaliza to the Create/broke family,” said Andre Benz. “She is a true visionary that embodies everything that our company stands for—creativity, independence, and a relentless pursuit of breaking boundaries. Sevdaliza’s ability to innovate and connect with audiences across the world is unmatched, and we’re excited to work alongside her as she enters the next phase of her career.”
Since its founding shortly after The Nations’ acquisition by Create Music Group in 2022, broke has quickly established itself as one of the fastest-growing independent labels.
"I’ve worked with Create since their inception and witnessed their exponential growth, driven by their support for independent minded artists,” said Cyrus Saidi, Sevdaliza’s U.S. manager.
“A great new adventure started when Cyrus joined Sevdaliza’s management team and introduced Create. All teams immediately felt this was a natural fit, making this partnership an exciting step forward.” – Nigel van Ommeren, Headfirst Music.
