Music for Relief is inviting unsigned artists to submit their original songs for a chance to have it heard by industry professionals including Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, artist/producer RAC, Producer Rob Cavallo, Composer Joe Trapanese, Nikki Walsh and Jake Voulgarides of Universal Pictures and Kevin Korn, an agent at the Gorfaine Schwartz Agency. Winners will be featured on an album released this fall by Warner Bros. Records, benefitting Music for Relief’s disaster relief fund.
The submission period ends on Sept. 22. The public will have a chance to vote for their favorite songs from Sept. 23 to Oct. 15. Entries with the most votes will win prizes donated by HARMAN International, Warner Bros. Records and Sunset Marquis Hotel. One lucky band/artist will be flown to Los Angeles to record at Henson Studios.
In 2010, Music for Relief launched Download to Donate, a compilation of unreleased songs from A-list artists to raise funds for disaster relief. This year, Music for Relief is giving emerging artists an opportunity to be heard by thousands on the Music for Relief album.
