Glenn Laughlin

"Valentine's Day"

Glen Laughlin, former guitarist with The Dickies, Furys, The Cherry Bluestorms, sadly left us way too early for a heavenly rock concert just after his long awaited incredible album, HALF LIFE, was completed and in its sleeve.  There is some '80s ish vibes and classic rock/Brit rock and Glen rock.

His cover of Van Morrison's "Into The Mystic" is the one I listen to over and over again. Hopefully we'll get access to the new album for review and those interested can listen and get a copy as well.

This piece is perfect for Valentine's Day.

The Weeknd feat. Anitta

"São Paulo"

From The Weeknd's likely final album, Hurry Up Tomorrow (before an inevitable rebrand by his Christian name Abel), "Sao Paolo" is a standout--one of plenty of the infectious collaborations from the album.

Honorable mention to leadoff single "Timeless" with Playboi Carti, which has been stuck in my head since its release. I won't mind seeing that top the Billboard charts for a year, just like "Blinding Lights" a few years back.

Senser

"Age of Panic"

Back in the '90s, when Rage Against the Machine blended rap and rock and added a political wake-up call, the British band Senser were doing a similar thing with less fanfare.

"Age of Panic" made some waves across the pond, and for good reason. Turn it up!
