I love musical theater. I love the entire Wicked soundtrack from both original stage and screen.
Stephen Schwartz, music and lyrics, is brilliant (and a really nice guy too). Some picks: Obviously "Defying Gravity," also "I'm Not That Girl" and "Dancing Through Life" are my favorites.

The Crocketts
"James Dean-esque"
This is a bit of a deep dive, but a worthy one. When I was working for Kerrang! magazine in London, there were a lot of British and Irish bands on the scene that were incredible, but didn't ever make the big breakthrough. The Crocketts were one such band.
Two amazing albums and a few singles and EPs released at the start of the '00s, plus a bunch of killer shows, is all we have to look back on but those that remember The Crocketts and their manic punk remember them fondly.
This song is phenomenal, and didn't even make it onto one of the albums. Talk about burning bright!
