"Ball of Confusion"
I'm going old school Motown his week. You only need to change a few names and places, and it's as significant now as it was then.

Mariah Carey
"Heartbreaker"
One of my favorite songs is "Ain't No Fun" from Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle. It is excellently sampled and repurposed in the remix of Mariah Carey's "Heartbreaker," which features Da Brat and Missy Elliott. The feminine prowess matches and exceeds the gangsta rap misogyny, and the influence of Da Brat and Missy is clearly heard in today's female emcees who can get just as nasty as the guys.

"An Artist is an Artist"
It's been a while since we had some new music from British powerhouse Skunk Anansie, so this is most welcome. It's punk rock poetry, with Skin laying down the lines with style.
"Tackling everything from ageism to our current need for approval in the digital age, 'An Artist Is An Artist' somehow seems to hark back to the band’s vitriolic debut single, 'Little Baby Swastikkka,' in terms of its confrontational quality," reads the press release.
