The True album

The entire album is pure classic rock YES, (not to be confused with the Howe cover band). This isn't a rehash, it's atmospheric Prog Rock with a modern take. An ethereal journey. Each song is a triumph in it's own right, I can't choose just one. Possibly the best YES/Jon album in 20 years.

The Wildhearts

"The Jackson Whites"

British rockers The Wildhearts are the best band of the past three decades. I'm not here to argue about this, it's a stone-cold, hard fact. Singer/guitarist Ginger and his assembled merry band merge everything great about punk, metal, power-pop and, honestly, just about every other genre.

They remain criminally under-heard on this side of the Atlantic. Let's change that.

Herbie Hancock

"Watermelon Man"

I'm feeling a bit jazzy today and it's been nice to keep calm with Herbie Hancock's Headhunters album.

"Watermelon Man" is far from smooth jazz elevator music, but it is a record I can always come back to and follow along to a different sound or instrument.
