Southwest Airlines has announced its official sponsorship of the 2017 Luck Reunion music festival taking place on Thursday, March 16, in Austin, TX.
The partnership demonstrates the airline's initiative to propel artists on the rise who are forging their own creative paths. By joining forces with Luck Reunion, a small-scale festival showcasing a wide range of talent, Southwest® is helping create a platform for artists who are pushing boundaries and creating art on their own terms.
"We are honored to have Southwest Airlines as part of the Luck Reunion family," said the Luck Productions team. "Their genuine and thoughtful initiative to create unique avenues for talent is contributing greatly to Luck as a platform, and we are grateful that they both trust in, and share, our vision."
Southwest Airlines will play a major role in Luck Reunion by helping artists reach their destination and also contributing to the overall experience at “Luck, TX.” With activations onsite, the airline will present the Southwest Porch and Luck Tannery, a custom leather shop positioned across from the festival's World Headquarters Stage where guests and artists will convene to take in the day's performances while enjoying a Southwest experience on the ground.
"Being a part of the Luck Family allows us to make meaningful connections with the artist community, which is at the heart of everything we do," said the Southwest Music Team. "Partnering with Luck to build our relationships with Artists on the Rise allows us to celebrate and share their talent with our Customers. We value this opportunity to be among such a passionate gathering of artists and music fans-it is truly an honor."
An escape from the SXSW crowds, Luck Reunion offers an opportunity to experience the grounds that served as the set for Nelson's Red Headed Stranger. The 2017 festival will welcome more than 40 artists including: Willie Nelson, Conor Oberst & Friends featuring M. Ward and The Felice Brothers, Margo Price, Valerie June, Parker Millsap, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Brent Cobb and more.
Tickets are released on a rolling basis via Luck Reunion.
