RYAN TEDDER SIGNS TO RUNNER MUSIC FOR GLOBAL PUBLISHING DEAL

Multi-platinum songwriter, producer, and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder has officially signed a global publishing deal with Runner Music. While Tedder is also a co-founder of Runner, it is rare for a songwriter of his caliber to sign with their own publishing company, a move that has only happened a handful of times in the industry.

Remarking on his new publishing home, Tedder said “Signing to Runner feels like the culmination of a dream I've had for years — not just about music, but about finding the right people to make it all come to life. With Amanda Hill, Andrew Sparkler and the team they’ve assembled by my side, I’ve got a community of music-obsessed operators that share the same vision, passion, and relentless drive. I’m blown away with what Runner has accomplished in such a short period of time and I’m ecstatic about what’s to come. My first gig in the music industry at 19 was working for a publishing company in Nashville, I never dreamed one day I’d be signing to my own.”

Tedder’s recent chart domination includes back-to-back hits with Tate McRae such as “Greedy”, “Exes”, “It’s Ok, I’m Ok”, and “Sports Car”, as well as the Grammy-winning collaboration “II Most Wanted”, performed by Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus. Additionally, Tedder’s work with David Guetta on “I Don't Wanna Wait” features OneRepublic, with Tedder as the lead vocalist, followed by “Run It”, a collaboration between Tedder, Guetta, and Jelly Roll for Sonic 3.

Runner Music continues to make waves in the industry, starting the year off with two global hits, Tyler Spry co-wrote Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” which reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent several weeks at #1 on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Ex US charts, as well as Spotify’s Global Top 50 and US Top 50. The song continues to perform globally and is Top 20 at Rhythmic Radio. Additionally, Runner’s Grant Boutin co-wrote and co-produced Tate McRae’s global smash “Sports Car” and seven other songs including “Revolving Door” on Tate’s explosive new album release, So Close To What. The company has also recently signed Del Water Gap, country chart topper Ben Johnson (who’s enjoying his 11th #1 right now with Jelly Roll), and upcoming female producer and songwriter Alex O’Shaughnessy – all moves that further solidify its reputation as a powerhouse in the publishing world.

“I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of each of the Runner writers in such a short period of time. Welcoming Ryan to the Runner roster further shares our story as the greatest new destination for songwriters, and personally, it is a true joy to get to continue working with one of my favorite songwriters in the world,” says Amanda Hill, Co-Chief Creative Officer of Runner.

CEO Andrew Sparkler adds, “The momentum at Runner is truly exceptional right now. We’re not only collaborating closely with Ryan to nurture emerging songwriters, but we’re also thrilled to partner with established hit-makers. Ryan joining our roster is a powerful testament to our growth and success."
