The LEWITT Remix challenge x EYESHALFSHUT has launched, and once again, you can download multitracks recorded with LEWITT microphones for free and be creative.
You can win LEWITT microphones and audio interfaces, including the award-winning LCT 540 S studio microphone, and the easy-to-use CONNECT 2 audio interface.
What counts as a remix? Well, be creative! Do you want to sing your own version? Go for it. Do you want to replace keys with screaming goats? Sample away!
About the artist:
If you follow LEWITT, you’ve probably seen Maria on their social media. But she’s also the artist behind EYESHALFSHUT, a project that thrives on raw emotion, eerie textures, and a bit of sonic chaos. "ASPARTAME" is a song about addiction, deception, and things that taste sweet but destroy you on the inside. The rhythm section uses foley sounds recorded with LCT 540 S, the quietest mic on the market. The vocals were also recorded with LCT 540 S and heavily post-processed into synth-like shapes thanks to the microphone’s low self-noise.
Maria aka EYESHALFSHUT about the recording process: “We used experimental techniques that go beyond the typical electronic music production process, and we’ll be sharing them on our socials throughout the remix challenge month. Can’t wait to hear all the remixes our community creates!”
The LEWITT remix challenge runs until the 31st of March 2025, and as in previous years, you can support each other, share tips, and have fun.
