l-r: Kola Adigun, d.a. got that dope, Andrea Doman
Independent publishing company PRESCRIPTION SONGS has announced the signing of KOLA ADIGUN to the roster of talented songwriters. Brought in by Prescription A&R Andrea Doman, Kola was introduced to the team by close collaborator, multi-platinum producer d.a. got that dope.
“I’m excited to get working with Andrea, d.a. and the team at RX,” Kola shares. “I’m passionate about my craft and skills and I know that’s reflected in the music. Let’s go!”
Kola, especially skilled in rap songwriting, is also a great pop and rhythmic songwriter. He’s worked with Eminem, G Herbo, JLo, Tyla Yaweh, Rubi Rose, Chinese Kitty, The Hxliday, Elhae, among others, as well as producers and fellow songwriters such as Dr. Luke, Zaire Koalo (The Orphanage), Andrew Cedar, Jenna Andrews, Stephen Kirk, Supakaine (Saweetie, Latto, Doja Cat), Mike Crook (Doja Cat, G-Eazy, Saweetie, Blueface), and more.
“Kola is one of the best writers I've worked with since starting in this game over 15 years ago,” says d.a. got that dope. “He's a ridiculously good rap songwriter, and he's a phenomenal lyricist and great melody writer in any genre. I'm very picky with what I get behind and I'm 100 percent behind Kola.”
Based in Texas but taking frequent trips to L.A., Kola looks forward to continuing to work closely with d.a., in addition to collaborating with other artists in-studio and remotely.
Prescription’s Andrea Doman adds: “Kola’s an incredibly versatile and skilled rap writer and vocalist, and rhythmic and pop songwriter, who’s particularly strong with lyrics and concepts. Having the opportunity to represent someone as talented and driven as Kola while having d.a.’s support and guidance along the way is exactly the type of situation I was looking to establish since starting at Prescription.”
