Leading independent publishing company PRESCRIPTION SONGS is excited to announce the recent signing of artist, songwriter, pianist Greyson Chance, brought into the talented roster by Prescription Songs A&R Manager Rachel Wein and A&R Coordinator Brooke Webster. Greyson Chance approaches his music with an author’s attention to detail and inclination towards elaboration. The Oklahoma-born singer, songwriter, and pianist infuses his prose with the sort of rich narrative and metaphor you might expect from an old, dog-eared novel, yet amplified with an instinctual predisposition towards empathy. Beyond hundreds of millions of streams, sold out shows on multiple continents, widespread critical acclaim, and a fervent fanbase, he prides himself on his storytelling above all—and he really tells his story, perhaps for the first time, on his third full-length album, Palladium, released by Lowly. Greyson has quietly prepared to tell this story. After emerging as a viral sensation at barely 12-years-old, he formally introduced himself on his 2011 debut album Hold On ‘til the Night. However, he realized the power of his voice with 2019’s Portraits. The single “shut up” notably generated over 95 million Spotify streams and counting, followed by “yours” with 12 million Spotify streams. In between packing houses everywhere, he holed up in a Nashville studio with multiplatinum producer and songwriter Jason Reeves (Colbie Caillat, Kelly Clarkson). With Jason as Executive Producer, they picked up where they left off on the Trophies standouts “O Violet” and “Clothes.” Greyson’s most recent studio album Palladium was recently rereleased as a Deluxe Edition. “I am so grateful and honored to now be alongside the many talented artists, producers, and writers at Prescription,” Chance shares. “For me, it was the Prescription team themselves who made me want to pursue my first publishing deal. I feel at home and understood by each and every person in their building, and that’s a special thing to experience in the music industry.” Prescription Songs A&Rs Rachel Wein and Brooke Webster are looking forward to working alongside Chance: “Working with Greyson is an A&R’s dream; he is unapologetic in his creative vision, yet open to feedback and never afraid to venture into new territory. As longtime fans, we are thrilled to welcome Greyson into the Prescription Songs family and look forward to building together.” Greyson Chance is managed by Alex Ziabko of CULTIV8 who is equally excited about this new partnership. “Since our first meeting, Rachel, Brooke, Katie and the entire RX team have been the integral part we knew we were missing,” he shares. “Their understanding of who Greyson is as an artist and writer was unmatched. We look forward to working with Prescription and couldn’t think of a better team to build with by our side.” |
