Prolific guitarist Pete Thorn (Chris Cornell, Don Henley, Melissa Etheridge, Five For Fighting) announces that he is auctioning off his special Washburn USA guitar that he performed while on tour with Chris Cornell and performed on “Seasons” and “Sunshower” -- to benefit the charitable organization, Save Our Allies, in their efforts to help the people of Ukraine. The auction runs through October 1. While on Cornell’s 2009 tour, the guitar became one of Cornell’s favorites, and he himself performed with it every night acoustically on the tour. The auction of the guitar has blessings from Cornell’s wife, Vicky.
Thorn was inspired to donate the guitar after touring with Five For Fighting’s John Ondrasik this summer, performing the song Ondrasik recently wrote dedicated to President Zelenskyy titled "Can One Man Save The World?" -- whose proceeds are also going to Save Our Allies. Check out Thorn’s message to fans and special performance with the guitar of “Can One Man Save The World” with Ondrasik HERE.
All proceeds from the auction go to Save Our Allies, who are currently active in Ukraine providing valuable humanitarian aid and assistance to people in need. For information on the auction, the guitar, and Save Our Allies, visit: https://soa.rallyup.com/ukr/ https://saveourallies.org.
