Activate Entertainment has announced new concert series and radio series rolling out nationwide. ‘CALI GOT SOUL!’ is a FREE Monthly Concert series, featuring the best of Soul-R&B-Funk & Neo-Soul in venues across California. Kicking off Sunday, March 3 (7-11pm) at famed Club Fais Do-Do (5257 w.Adams Bl, L.A. 90016, west of La Brea, Crenshaw), where legends like Sam Cooke, John Coltrane, Billy Preston & countless others have graced the stage.

‘CALI GOT SOUL!’ is once a month, starting the first hour with a ‘Who’s Got Soul?’ open mic, then a night of curated Soul singers, R&B artists, live Soul bands, acoustic neo-soul singers and very special guests performing (with performances by TROOP lead singer JON JON, longtime LUTHER VANDROSS-DAVID BOWIE Singer AVA CHERRY, longtime PRINCE & STEVIE WONDER singer MARVA KING & many others being added). Each show will culminate in a ‘GOT SOUL Funk Jam’ with veteran musicians, many from touring bands, including guest appearances from band members of Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Parliament, Prince, Gap Band, Earth Wind & Fire and more.
Future dates include Saturday, April 6, Saturday, May 4, & a special BET Weekend of Saturday, June 21 & Sunday, June 22, & more to come. Similar ‘CALI GOT SOUL!’ monthly shows are being set up in Oakland/Bay area, San Diego, Sacramento, Fresno, Oxnard-Ventura, Orange County, Inland Empire & others, created a statewide network for monthly shows spotlighting live Soul-R&B-Funk shows in conjunction with the award-winning ‘GOT SOUL!’ album series & worldwide radio show on DASH radio.
‘GOT SOUL! LIVE” is the name of the similar shows outside California that are starting up across the country in the series. Monthly ‘GOT SOUL! LIVE’ shows are being organized in Philadelphia, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Seattle, Denver, New York, Memphis, Las Vegas, Dallas, Phoenix, Portland, Orlando, Charlotte, D.C., Boston, Cleveland, Detroit and many more cities.
