International Pop Overthrow (IPO) is back for its 22nd year and landing in over 14 cities in the US, UK, and Canada. IPO is a traveling pop music festival that features between 25 and 180 of the best pop bands from the local market. Shows generally host 30-200 attendees, depending on the location and night, and offer great exposure through local press at each location. Many historic venues have played host to the event including but not limited to The Abbey (Chicago), Knitting Factory (Los Angeles), The Cavern Club (Liverpool), and Paycheck's Lounge (Detroit).
The purpose of International Pop Overthrow is two-fold: to give every worthy band who'd like to play their music in a festival atmosphere the chance to do so, and to bring pop music the attention it so richly deserves.
