On Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., the Berry Hill neighborhood of Nashville will be the place to be for musicians interested in professional audio, home recording or simply making music. For the fourth year, Pensado’s Place, the acclaimed weekly educational web series, and Vintage King Audio, a leader in professional audio sales, studio consulting and comprehensive gear servicing, are teaming up to produce Gear Expo, a gear and music-making expo. Nashville, TN patrons will once again be able to demo gear, talk directly with manufacturer reps, watch live interviews, mingle with the celebrity guests, listen to live music, win prizes, enjoy local food trucks and meet Dave Pensado and Herb Trawick of Pensado's Place. This free event all goes down at Vintage King's award-winning facility in the famous Berry Hill neighborhood on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Panelists are slated to include producer/engineer/mixer Chris Lord-Alge (Pink, Foo Fighters, Avril Lavigne, Green Day), producer Josh Gudwin (Justin Bieber), producer/mixer/engineer DJ Swivel (Beyoncé, Jay-Z, The Chainsmokers) and over a dozen other fascinating industry pros sharing their perspectives. A dedicated songwriter’s panel will feature Marc Beeson (Chicago, Kenny Rogers), Phil O’Donnell (Blake Shelton, Kellie Pickler), Jason Duke (Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban) and possibly other special guests. A VIP after-hang with Trawick and Pensado will take place at the Trace Horse Ranch near Nashville. A full list of panels, guest speakers and other special guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
