Earlier this week at the headquarters of Interscope Geffen A&M, the world’s leading record label, the National Football League partnered with IGA for an informative day of education about the music industry. The players’ and legends’ day consisted of panel discussions featuring the industry’s leading executives, interactive listening sessions in the company’s new state-of-the-art recording studios and more for some of the league’s top players who have expressed interest in the business of music. Interscope is the first and only music company to partner with the NFL to present its players with a comprehensive introduction to the business of music.
The event was part of the NFL’s recently launched NFL Career Tours program that provides current NFL players and Legends exclusive access to major organizations to learn about various career opportunities and network with industry leaders.
Nearly 20 NFL players and legends attended the day’s event, hearing from the Interscope Geffen A&M’s top executives, including Chairman and CEO, John Janick, Vice Chairman Steve Berman and the label’s SVP of Sports and Gaming David Nieman. Many of the NFL’s top executives were in attendance as well, including the organization’s SVP of Marketing and Communications, Tracy Perlman. A number of recording artists also attended and played music for the attendants, including Lil Mosey, Zack Bia, midwxst, Westside Boogie, EST Gee and Bas.
