There are effectively sweet vocal blends in the song, though we feel Alexander could be even more emotive on the chorus. “I Don’t Want to Catch My Breath” is where she really shines. On this ballad (something Taylor Swift might have sung when she was country) Alexander’s aching sincerity and the epic guitar tone are a winning tandem. On “Wanted,” the chiming guitars mirror the singer’s convincing spirit of longing. We urge this promising artist to ask even more of her voice.
