The opening moments of “Everybody Knows Your Name” are a glorious surprise. There are bluegrass flourishes to this southern/country rock that takes it up another level entirely. The song is executed immaculately and, arguably more importantly, the attitude is dripping off of Tiger’s tongue with a startling level of authenticity and honestly.
She means this shit, man! “Hummingbird” is a little more chill, but she’s still in it to win it. “Got the stereo turned up all the way, gotta let him know I’m coming ‘round today,” she sings. Oh, he’ll know! There’s simply no ignoring Tiger, as she roars through these tunes.
