400, aka Eugene “400” Jackson, is a bit of a renaissance man. Artist, executive, songwriter, producer, actor—400 can do it all. His blend of contemporary pop, a little bit of ‘90s top 40, and hip-hop makes for a heady brew. It’s in his blood because the man grew up with a musical family; his dad was a DJ with a label, who worked with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Hailing from Cleveland, there’s a determination about 400’s sound, even when it’s hitting its poppiest highs. The song “I Can Be Famous,” itself a statement of intent, sees 400 singing alongside Rylee Evans, and the combo works beautifully. The sky’s the limit for 400, who is still learning his craft but the early signs are very positive.
