Willing Nashville, a full-service record label, officially launches with Angela Borchetta White serving as President & CEO. Promotion and overall label operations will be handled by Borchetta, while marketing and artist development is spearheaded by Dayna Laverick. Jeffrey R.W. Rath will oversee artist management, music publishing and serve as Chairman and General Counsel for the label. Canadian-based Willing Entertainment partners with White House Promotion & Marketing’s Angela Borchetta to form US imprint.
The debut artist signed to the label imprint is 2013 CCMA (Canada Country Music Association) Rising Star winner and the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 ACMA (Alberta Country Music Association) Male Artist of the Year Bobby Wills. Wills’ current LP Crazy Enough has received rave reviews in his home-country of Canada, while gaining new fans in the U.S. with the recently released debut single "Never Didn't Love You."
Borchetta is grateful for the opportunity, "Jeff sent me a copy of Crazy Enough last summer, and it was one of the best collections of songs by a new artist that I’d heard in a while. Bobby has an exciting sound and the production of this album convinced me that this was an artist and a project that U.S. radio needed to hear and would be ready to embrace. Jeff has a clear vision for this project which is what intrigued and convinced me to accept the charge of introducing Willing to the U.S. and ensuring everybody has the chance to hear our music. Bobby Wills is a talented singer, songwriter and live performer and I’m excited for us to be partnering together!"
Willing Nashville will produce and record with its production partners in Nashville, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Muscle Shoals.
Willing Nashville will also operate a publishing arm supporting its artists through the promotion of their music and catalogues to established artists and management teams.
