MXL Microphones will release three new products for the NAMM 2018 Show, that reflect a new direction for the company for 2018. MXL Microphones is creating new products and forming strategic partnerships to better serve the growing corporate communication market, while simultaneously strengthening its core catalog of premium studio condenser microphones and live dynamic stage mics.
“MXL has always been an innovative brand,” says MXL International Sales Manager Scott Krueckeberg, “we’ve continually developed new kinds of microphones that are unique and help musicians all over the world attain their desired sound.” The DX-2 for example, was built for miking amps and speakers, and has been nominated for numerous industry awards, and now with MXL’s latest releases: the new VRS Bundles, POP LSM-9 Mic, and AC-360-Z; Kreuckeberg says “you’re seeing MXL form new strategic partnerships that will help produce innovative audio solutions that will carry MXL into the future and re-energize the brand going forward.”
The new MXL POP LSM-9 is a brightly-colored dynamic vocal mic, designed to give on-stage performers an eye-catching handheld microphone that cancels vibrations and minimizes handling noise for a clean, clear performance. At launch, the POP LSM-9 will be offered in four bright colors: blue, magenta, yellow, and green. The MXL POP LSM-9 features a super-cardioid polar pattern to deliver a strong vocal presence while also negating feedback, and its low handling-noise makes it great for high-energy stage performers. Durable, all-metal construction ensures that the POP LSM-9 will withstand the rigors of nightly use.
The new MXL AC-360-Z is a low-profile, sturdy conferencing microphone that captures crystal clear audio in a full 360° within a 25-foot radius, and uses a single USB 2.0 cable for both power and signal. The AC-360-Z's full 360°, 25-foot pickup range allows it to be placed in the center of a large conference room table and capture perfect speech clarity for everyone speaking around it. The AC-360-Z is compatible with any Mac or PC device through simple plug-and-play connectivity without needing to download any drivers, and works seamlessly with any web conferencing codec on the market, including Skype, Google Hangouts, BlueJeans, Zoom, and more. When used with Zoom, each quadrant of the AC-360-Z is independently addressable for custom arrangements within an installation.
The MXL Visual Radio Station (VRS) Bundles give you everything you need to make high-quality live video podcasts right from your home computer or laptop. Offered in three tiers, the VRS Bundles include a broadcast mic, POV camera, USB Hub, audio interface, and HDV Mixer Software. MXL has partnered with Broadcast Supply Worldwide and HDV Mixer for the bundles, which deliver all-in-one solutions for podcasters and radio broadcasters who want to add video to their live-streams. MXL's parent company, Marshall Electronics, is also providing its new USB 3.0-powered, CV502-U3 HD-POV broadcast camera for the bundles.
