Musically Fed, a Phoenix-based nonprofit organization dedicated to combating hunger through music industry partnerships, announces its participation in upcoming Danny Wimmer Presents (DWP) festivals in 2024. Musically Fed will be onsite at these events to rescue unused artist and staff catering, providing much-needed meals to local nonprofits in each festival's host city.
"Building a festival is akin to raising a city from the ground up, a city that thrives on music and unity,” says Chamie McCurry, Chief Marketing Officer of DWP. “Our sense of pride doesn't just come from the stages we build or the shows we put on. It's in the lasting impact we have on the communities we touch. Working with Musically Fed, we give back, helping to combat food insecurity and contribute positively to the cities that welcome us each year. It's about more than music; it's about community, sustainability, and making a difference where it really counts."
Since its founding in 2016, Musically Fed has mobilized the music industry to fight hunger by working with artists, promoters, management, and venues to donate unused backstage meals, as well as VIP and artist catering, to community organizations nationwide. The organization's efforts have provided over 550,000 meals to people in need across America.
