Multi-Grammy winning, legendary recording artist Alanis Morissette has launched her own podcast. Titled Conversation with Alanis Morissette, the monthly podcast will feature conversations with a variety of revered authors, doctors, educators and therapists, covering a wide range of topics including psychology, art, spirituality, design, health, well-being and relationships. The podcast will also dive into topics of science, neurobiology, music, travel, social commentary and feminism. The show’s first guest is Katherine Woodward Thomas, author of Conscious Uncoupling and will follow appearances from such guests as Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt.
People can subscribe to the Conversation with Alanis Morissette podcast on iTunes. To coincide with the podcast, Morissette has also re-launched her website, which will include frequent articles and posts on topics ranging from health and wellness, feminism and spirituality, to relationships, art and more.
Morissette comments on the podcast, “I have been having these wildly engaging conversations with my mentors and teachers and colleagues privately, quietly and on-goingly in cafes, my kitchen, schools, tour buses, airplanes and the like for so many years. For them to be made public now in the form of this podcast is a dream come true for me. A stepping out and a coming home. It feels like a true integration of all the parts of life I have been passionately studying and researching through direct experience and schooling. The rock star, teacher, philosopher, student and scholar are finally blending into one.
“I get to have conversations with different authors, artists, leaders, teachers and public and private figures—each of whom have a unique perspective and model based on topics ranging from science, spirituality, philosophy, psychology, feminism, health, wellness, relationships, art, design, activism, neurobiology, music, comedy and more. We chat and philosophize in a way that illuminates and illustrates our current ideas, as well as allowing us to push the conversation further in real time. I couldn’t be more excited.”
On Oct. 30, Morissette will release a special collector’s edition of her legendary, debut album Jagged Little Pill, in celebration of its 20-year anniversary. Titled, Jagged Little Pill: Collector’s Edition, the new four-disc set includes re-mastered audio of the original album plus an entire disc of 10 unreleased demos from the era handpicked by Morissette from her archives, offering a deeper and more personal look at the classic album. Also included is a previously unreleased concert from 1995 as well as 2005’s Jagged Little Pill Acoustic.
