Earlier this year, Moog Music announced that they would be bringing their classic Minimoog Model D synthesizer back to production. Prolific music creator and synth master Klayton (Celldweller) recently teamed up with Vintage King Audio to create a demo for the new Minimoog Model D reissue and Music Connection is home to the exclusive debut of this new video.
The Minimoog Model D is known around the world, as one of the first synthesizers to be accessible by a wide range of musicians. Moog Music’s new reissue is faithful to the original’s sound design, while offering more modern features including analog LFO (with triangle and square wave shapes), a premium Fatar keybed with velocity and after pressure via top panel CV jacks, CV outputs for pitch, gate, velocity and after pressure, a mixer overload modification and basic MIDI integration.
