Multi-platinum star Mariah Carey has inked an exclusive joint partnership of Butterfly MC Records and Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. Terms of the agreement call for additional repertoire by the artist, beginning with a new studio album expected later this year.

The announcement extends the long-term association between Epic and Mariah Carey, who was personally signed to the label by Reid in 2015.
In addition to the partnership, Carey is set to return to her Las Vegas residency in July and will embark on a North American summer tour with Lionel Richie.
