Maria Alonte-McCoy has joined Kemosabe Records and Prescription Songs as Senior Vice President of Film & TV. Megan Wood joins Maria as Director of Film & TV. Alonte-McCoy and Wood have previously worked together at District Music. Kemosabe Records is headed by producer/songwriter Dr. Luke and is a joint venture deal with Sony Music.

Maria Alonte-McCoy began her career in 1995 working in the Film/TV licensing department at Arista Records. She then joined Nettwerk Music Group where she stayed for almost 15 years. In her role there as SVP, she headed the Film/TV department, produced soundtrack albums and worked with many artists including Coldplay, Fun. and the Barenaked Ladies. In June 2011, Alonte-McCoy started a Film & TV licensing company called District Music for Red Light Management. The company represented artists and writers from Red Light Management, ATO Records and also signed over 60 artists directly, including Alabama Shakes, Dave Matthews and City & Colour.While she was there, Alonte-McCoy also started District Music Publishing, signing Aqualung (aka Matt Hales).
Additionally, Maria co-founded a Film/TV representation and publishing company called Archangel Media in 2008 with record producer Simon Perry.
