Introducing Lost Music Collective, a brand new independent label celebrating the DIY pop-punk spirit. Lost Music Collective comes from the minds of Vinnie Fiorello (Less Than Jake, Fueled By Ramen, Sailor Diggen's Finest CBD) and Erick Droegmoeller (Word Is Bond, Inc.)
The label will be making its debut with the release of Rival Town's forthcoming album, Useless Hands, on Oct. 4.
Lost Music Collective is dedicated to all the young upstarts and the unknown bands doing it for all the right reasons. It's meant to celebrate the music that's been copied onto cassette tapes and burned into CD-Rs, demos pressed into vinyl records with Xeroxed covers, music given out for free or hustled for a few dollars to pay for gas in the van.
It's an homage to the Bandcamp links scrawled on walls across cities and, most importantly, to the bands bashing their way through sweaty hall shows before driving across the country. It's a reminder that even when connecting with others was hardest, there was always music.
