It's difficult to comprehend the scale of destruction by the Los Angeles wildfires.
The Eaton and Palisades fires are two of the most devastating in California history. The total area burned by the Palisades, Eaton and Hurst fires is roughly twice the size of Manhattan. So many have lost so much, including scores of musicians, songwriters, and others in the local music community.
The HIMA has pledged $5.00 of every submission fee it receives to the Guitar Center Music Foundation Disaster Relief. This initiative is dedicated to helping rebuild the lives of those in the music community by providing instruments, equipment, and resources to those affected.
HIMA call for entries open February 1st. However, grants and support from the GCMF is happening NOW and grant applications have a cutoff date, so please visit the foundation landing page to see options.
