Jamie James Can't Do Without his 1934 Gibson L4

Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Jamie James—known for his work with Dennis Quaid and The Sharks, collaborations with the late Harry Dean Stanton, and as the frontman of 80's Rockabilly Trio Kingbees—told us about his love for his '35 Gibson L4.

Jamie James: My name is Jamie James and I am a guitar nut!

I got my first electric guitar on Christmas of 1966. Since then I’ve never stopped playing and never stopped writing. I have several favorite guitars and amps but my go to lately for writing is my 1934 Gibson L4.

I love the tone, the feel, the sound and even that old guitar smell.

Jamie James' album Straight Up is out now.
