Indie Power, in conjunction with Lucky Strike Live, Music Connection Magazine, Activate Entertainment and IES: Indie Entertainment Summit, presents Indie Power Live!–a twice a month Hollywood Industry Showcase at Lucky Strike at the Hollywood & Highland complex. Launching Friday May 1, May Day, during the ASCAP Expo, Indie Power Live! will feature bands and vocalists, curated by leading industry exec & CEO/Founder of the Indie Power global marketing and promotion network Jay Warsinske. Warsinske is a revered 40-year industry veteran who has been breaking artists for over four decades and has been a part of launching such legendary artists as U2, Metallica, Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dr. Dre, Guns ‘n Roses, AC/DC, N.W.A., Van Halen, 2Pac, Ramones, the Police, Ice Cube, the Clash, Snoop Dogg, Madonna, Motley Crue, Black Eyed Peas and many more iconic artists.
Each Indie Power Live! will feature Free Admission (21 and over), a variety of hand-picked bands and solo vocalists, a “red carpet” press area for interviews and pictures with the artists, as well as the delicious food, drink specials and games that Lucky Strike is known for.
Warsinske states, “Indie Power Live! is a much needed Industry showcase in the heart of Hollywood for super talented artists to be discovered by industry execs, media and fans alike–all free to get in!”
Another addition to Indie Power Live! is a Special Surprise Guests and special perk for artists selected as “Breakout Indie Power Live Artists.” A band or artist in the first couple months will be selected to appear on a Warped Tour concert, another will win a $10,000 Indie Power promotion campaign, another will win a development deal with the global label Activate Entertainment and the last winner will win a major showcase and registration to IES: the Indie Entertainment Summit, a global music conference held in North Hollywood Aug. 5-8.
Bands confirmed for May 1 kickoff include the Raskins (fresh off the final Motley Crue and Alice Cooper arena/amphitheatre tour), Bobby O Band (featuring Mike Albert, ex-Megadeth guitarist and members of Edgar Winter, Doobie Brothers and Pink).
