Blues artists and bands with male or female vocals are needed by an independent record label that’s trying to find a new act or two to sign to their eclectic roster.
Please listen to the references below:
“Don't Start Me Talkin” by Sugar Blue
“What's The Matter With The Mill” by Muddy Waters
“Come Here Mama” by Little Willie Anderson
“Five Long Years” by Buddy Guy
This label is primarily interested in hearing Chicago Blues or Delta Blues artists and bands.
Please submit original blues songs that showcase your musicianship, with authentic instrumentation and a believable blues vocal. Be sure to have deep roots in the blues sound and culture.
Your recording quality needs to be clean, clear, well balanced, and good enough to represent your songs well. Please highlight any touring/live show experience, fanbase, or sales/streaming figures you may have. If you’re a new artist or band and don’t have much of a story or track record yet, but you do have an amazing sound and the songs to back it up, they’d still like to hear you.
You'd be wise to submit three songs per submission, so they can see if you’ve got depth in your material.
Please submit as many songs as you’d like, online or per CD. Include lyrics, photos, and bio. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis—no full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Thursday, Sept. 12.
