EMG has partnered with the crushing NY metallic hardcore band FREYA.
FREYA are the product of the fertile mind and shredding vocal attack of founder/hardcore vocalist Karl Buechner (Earth Crisis, Path of Resistance), alongside the great songwriting and power of Ethan Henry (Drums), Ed Ordez (Bass), Erick Edwards (Guitar) and Thom Turner (guitar).
For 20 years Freya has spanned the heavy music scene. Drawing luminaries like Freddy Circien (MADBALL), Scott Vogel (Terror), Dirk Verburen (Megadeth, Soilwork), Paul Waggoner (Between the Buried and Me) and and Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed) alike to collaborate. Now Freya has returned home to its NY hardcore roots with “Fight as One” out now on Upstate Records.
Guitarist Thomas Turner says “I was a fan of Freya long before I had the opportunity to join. Freya has always been the perfect band for us to experiment musically. We have gone from the early 2000s sound through straight up prog metal and now back home to hardcore. Clean vocals screaming vocals we’ve done it all. But, in that time we have always had a core that has kept the ferocious sound and impact that I came up loving. Being true to the essence of the band just bleeds into our love of our fans and the bands we tour with. We fight as one to express who we are as individuals and celebrate it together.”
