Six-time Japan Gold Disc Winner Michael Africk, who has sold over 25 million records as a J-Pop writer and producer and helped define the sound of J-Pop, is now presenting a new global sound of J-Pop, combining the best of Japanese and American pop music via his company Handcraft Entertainment.
Handcraft’s music has been written and produced by 9x Diamond and Grammy nominated super-producer Louis Bell (Post Malone, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber) and 6x Japan Gold Disc Winner Michael Africk (Mai Kuraki, Zard, Jordan Knight), the company’s artist videos have featured fashion by Fendi and Christian Louboutin and aired on the Grammys Global site, the iconic Shibuya billboard in Japan and many other sites around the world.
Investors are buying in as Handcraft Entertainment has raised over $1m and is closing in on a much larger round with Tokyo offices opening in 2025.

After a performance at Dodger stadium that garnered Handcraft Entertainment artist Anna Aya the label of being “the next generation pop-star” and "the pride of Japan”…Aya is now set to have her coming out party with a highly coveted performance at “Tokyo Girls Collection” the largest fashion event in the world, a right of passage as almost all of the major k-pop and asian acts like Blackpink and New Jeans have performed there early in their global ascent to major stardom. The company has also signed upcoming superstar and Japanese and British singer/model Hana K who is already making waves in the UK.
Handcraft Entertainment’s global conquest continues with the addition of Golden Globe winning (Best Picture) and Academy Award nominated producer Shannon McIntosh to run the company’s video and film division. Shannon is best known for her work with Quentin Tarantino on films like, Django Unchained, Inglorious Bastards and Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood.
