Peter Frampton and the Steve Miller Band entertained a full house at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on August 10, presented by Nederlander. Frampton opened the show, playing his hits including "Show Me the Way," and closing with "Do You Feel (Like I Do)." He also played his recent single, "I Saved a Bird," about an avian, not a female person! Frampton employed his signature guitar "talk box" to make fun of himself and to augment the songs. He also played a tribute to the late Chris Cornell, with an enlarged photo of the late Soundgarden singer displayed above the stage throughout both sets.
Following his opening set, Frampton joined Steve Miller onstage for a few numbers, including an Elmore James jam. Miller and band performed recent material as well as old favorites, including "The Joker" and "Fly Like an Eagle."
