Foster the People at the Hollywood Palladium

Foster the People played two nights at the Hollywood Palladium February 6th and 7th with Good Neighbours. Foster the People last played Los Angeles, CA last year with intimate shows at the Roxy Theater and Grammy Museum. Before that Foster the People played three nights at the Wiltern Theater being their only public U.S. shows that year. Those shows marked the 10th anniversary of their debut album Torches. Since then there have been some lineup changes. The band led by founder Mark Foster consists of himself on guitar, keys, and lead vocals, multi-instrumentalist Isom Innis originally a touring member starting in 2010 and member since 2017, guitarist Zane Carney (John Mayer), bassist Micah Moffett (Big Sean), and drummer Aaron Steele (Haley Williams). Just three years after forming, Foster the People received a Grammy nomination for “Pumped Up Kicks” which won a Billboard Music Award and another Grammy nomination for Torches

Good Neighbours

From the beginning to end this was an incredible show. The 21 song set which ended with their biggest hit “Pumped Up Kicks,” included songs like “Sit Next To Me,” “Call It What You Want,” and “Don't Stop (Color on the Walls).” This show had everything from a Psychedelic Rock sound to Funk to Rock. There was a great light show throughout the night. At the end, Foster spoke about him living in L.A. the last 20 years and the devastating fires over the past month and it was a tough decision to do the show, but wanted to bring people together. The tour concludes in Dallas, TX March 6th.
