Foo Fighters Announce Cal Jam 18 Lineup

Foo Fighters, the 12-time Grammy award-winning rock band, will return as headliners and curators of Cal Jam 18, the second incarnation of the legendary debut of the Southern California rock festival. Promoted by Live Nation, the festival returns to Glen Helen Regional Park & Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, CA, Oct. 5 - 6.

The rock-focused “live music backyard party” will feature 20+ artists spread across four stages. Joining Foo Fighters will be the iconic Iggy Pop in a one-off reunion with his all-star Post Pop Depression band, featuring Queens of The Stone Age’s Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwin, and Dean Ferita, and Arctic Monkeys’ drummer Matt Helders. Other notable acts are Tenacious D, Garbage, Greta Van Fleet, Silversun Pickups, Manchester Orchestra, The Front Bottoms, Black Mountain, Deer Tick, and more. Check out the full 2018 lineup here.

The 12-hour rock extravaganza will offer a vendor village, curated food trucks, traditional festival food, games, carnival rides, a water park with twin waterslides, Rock 'n' Roll Museum, pop up record shop, as well as this year’s addition of a comedy stage. Comedian lineup details are coming soon.

Even though Cal Jam 17 is a one-day fest, on-site camping will be available on Friday night, in either a tent, car or an RV. Over-niters will enjoy a Friday-only kick-off party performance by 80s punk legend Billy Idol, comedian Bridget Everett, Mexico City’s Mexrrissey, and more. Many surprises await campers; water park access, a comedy tent, carnival rides, Rock-N-Roll Museum, and the pièce de résistance—delicious cold beer!

According to frontman Dave Grohl, the idea for the daylong festival came from the original California Jam held in 1974 at the Ontario Motor Speedway in Ontario, California. The original Cal Jam was co-headlined by Deep Purple and Emerson, Lake & Palmer; along with rock heavyweights, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, and Heart.

Cal Jam 18 is a celebration of eating, drinking and rocking. One-day tickets cost $99, (plus taxes and fees) and grants access to all of the activities on site. Saturday ticket holders have the option to buy a Friday night ticket for $30 (plus taxes and fees). Camping packages include free entrance to the Friday night Party. Tickets for Cal Jam 18 tickets go on sale Thursday, May 17 at 10 a.m. PST. Visit the festival’s website and Live Nation for more details.
