Finch explains, “It’s been an incredibly productive and busy year for us, we’re excited about our partnership with Razor & Tie and can’t wait to get our new record out this year. Razor & Tie pursued us from the beginning of our anniversary shows last year and has shown a lot of faith in the band, we’re making what we feel is a powerful and meaningful record and we couldn’t be happier about all the support Razor & Tie have given to us.”
“Finch are as vital a live band and as focused a creative force as they were when What It Is To Burn was released. The new songs they’ve spent the past year writing are classic Finch with the poise and muscle of a band as locked-in and fired up as ever. We’re exciting to be working together,” adds Razor & Tie A&R Executive Mike Gitter who signed the band.
Finch joins Razor & Tie at an exciting time in the label’s history as R&T continues to nurture and expand its rock roster that currently includes The Pretty Reckless, Chiodos, Yellowcard, All That Remains, P.O.D., Attila, For Today, Hatebreed, The Sword, Norma Jean, Chelsea Grin, Sworn In, Such Gold, and many more.
In 2013, Finch reunited to its nearly original lineup and announced that they would embark on the What It Is To Burn Ten Year Anniversary tour. The post-hardcore band performed the full-length in its entirety with a few extra bonuses for fans along the way to sold out crowds including Pomona, CA, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA and overseas in London and Paris. The band has released two studio albums, one live album and two EPs to date selling over one million albums worldwide. Finch is Nate Barcalow (Vocals), Randy Strohmeyer (Guitar), Alex Linares (Guitar). Alex Pappas (Drums), and Daniel Wonacott (Bass). The band is managed by Andy Harris and represented for touring by Jeremy Holgerson at The Agency Group.
