Filter Creative Group makes its return to Austin, TX this spring with an unprecedented takeover of the city’s historic Rainey Street District during SXSW Music. With more than a decade of curating distinct and remarkable SXSW experiences for music lovers of all persuasions, Filter Creative Group is now slated to make its biggest impact on the festival to-date with the launch of Filter on Rainey Street, running from Wednesday, March 13 - 17, 2013. Filter on Rainey Street is powered by one of the top 10 most visited websites in the world, Tumblr.
Filter on Rainey, the first-ever branded “street" officially sanctioned by SXSW, includes some of the country’s top bars and locations as touted by the likes of Travel + Leisure and the New York Times. Venues featured on the Filter on Rainey Street takeover include Lustre Pearl, Bar 96, Clive Bar, and special pop-up locations including Container Bar. Additionally, Filter will continue their SXSW presence on Cedar Street again this year. The four-day “block party” will provide a multitude of high-caliber and influential brands with individualized headquarter-hubs to best target and reach music fans, in a way that can’t be matched.
Filter on Rainey Street, as well as Filter’s Cedar Street location, will play host to Tumblr, Dr. Martens, Absolut, Dickies, Brixton, Macy’s American Rag, Fed Ex Office, DTS Sounds, Slacker Radio, ASCAP, OXFAM and more. Tumblr, as FILTER on Rainey Street’s media partner will be creating a hub where all of the amazing talent performing on Rainey Street will be shared and accessible to both SXSW attendees and those following the festival.
