Fab Factory Studios Opens New State-of-the-Art Live Room at North Hollywood Location

Fab Factory Studios announced the debut of a newly remodeled, state-of-the-art, fully treated live room at their North Hollywood location. The newly remodeled studio, Melody A, boasts enough room to host more than 20 musicians, along with 56 Mic/Tie lines, three iso booths, and multiple Cat5 lines for the studios’ video and Aviom Cue system. Melody A also features a unique drum wall and a gorgeous 1970 Steinway Model D Grand Piano.

Fab Factory Studios didn’t cut any corners in the construction, design and outfitting of the new live room. The control room features a 40 channel SSL 4000E console with 48 channels of Lynx conversion, EMT 140 plate reverb, PMC8-2 XBD monitors with an alternate set of Focal Alpha 65’s. The control room also features two credenzas loaded with outboard gear including a set of 8 Neve 5052 Pre’s/eq’s, Bricasti M7, a stereo pair of 1176’s, CL1B, and the legendary LA-2A just to name a few. This room is also equipped with a UAD Octo card and is perfect for recording projects of any size or ambition. The studio is also perfect for mixing projects and features an SSL console.

Melody A, which had a soft opening this Spring, has already hosted recording sessions for composer Mark Isham for his work on the hit television show “The Cleaning Lady,” as well as recording sessions for Sting and a number of other bands and voice over sessions.
