Concord Music Publishing has announced the signing of two-time Mercury-nominated, critically revered British band Everything Everything to a new global multi-year publishing agreement. The deal covers all new music going forward.
Formed in Manchester in 2007, Everything Everything has released five albums across their career (2010’s Man Alive, 2013’s Arc, 2015’s Get To Heaven, 2017’s A Fever Dream and 2020’s Re-Animator), on their never-ending quest to bring experimentation and ambition back to pop music. Their work has been nominated twice for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize, and they have also been nominated for a staggering five Ivor Novello awards.
The band’s last LP, Re-Animator, resonated with critics and fans alike. In The Independent’s 5* review, they said, “Re-Animator packs global anxiety and paranoia into exquisitely crafted songs. A superb album.” The album went Top 5 in the UK album chart which was the band’s third Top 5 record of their career. The band will be touring in Spring 2022, culminating with a show at London’s Roundhouse.
Stylistically the band has always pushed boundaries and sat on the outskirts of the mainstream pop/rock genres that many of their peers belong to. They are one of the biggest art pop bands to emerge from the UK and continue to build upon an amazing catalogue of genre-defying records. Eclectic and dynamic, their songwriting is completely unique.
Tom Coulson Smith, A&R Director at Concord Music Publishing comments, “It is rare to see a band consistently push boundaries and bend genres as Everything Everything has done throughout their career. To have continued success alongside that is even rarer. The band and their records have grown with a generation of music lovers, and they have become favorites at summer festivals, on the touring circuit and across radio playlists alike. The whole Concord team is so excited to see where they take their music next and it is an honor to be a part of their journey."
Everything Everything comments “We look forward to working with such an imaginative team, who represent an extensive but carefully curated roster and catalogue. We’re proud to become part of it.”
