Indie pop-rock songstress Brooke Josephson kicks off the new year at the Whisky A Go-Go on Jan. 31. The LA-based artist will open for the '80s rock band Missing Persons and strike the stage at 8 PM sharp. Josephson will be unveiling music from her upcoming EP Showin’ Up, which will be releasing later this year.

The Showin’ Up EP features collaborations with musicians including Tim Pierce, guitar (Michael Jackson, Elton John, Springsteen, Madonna, Jewel, Goo Goo Dolls), Seth Rausch, drums (Keith Urban, Little Big Town), Kristin Wilkinson, Strings (OneRepublic, Johnny Cash, Jason Mraz, Lady Antebellum), The MUSYCA Children’s Choir of Los Angeles (Camila Cabello, Jennifer Hudson, The Voice, Zedd), and spotlights moments Josephson experienced over the past year while on tour. The title-track celebrates the importance of living to your fullest potential by putting in the work, even when no one is watching.

After majoring in vocal performance in Indiana and performing in theater in NYC, Josephson landed roles on ABC’s All My Children, FOX’s Bones and others. Soon after, she attended Berklee School of Music to earn her Master's certificate in songwriting. She has now released numerous singles, an EP and a full-length album. Josephson gained acclaim from her latest EP Sexy N' Domesticated, which showcased empowering themes and her songwriting abilities. She ended up receiving a heap of media support for her five-song collection including reviews on Pop Dose, Vents Magazine, Mom Angeles and others.
On Jan. 31, Josephson will perform a collection of original songs from her previous releases, new unreleased music, as well as cover songs.
