Winners have received recording contracts and gone on to hit the charts and win awards.
IAMA is geared towards the performing musician under the radar who are ready to be discovered. IAMA honors singer-songwriters, bands, groups, musicians, not just songwriters. Entrants are judged based on music performance, songwriting/composition (or song choice, covers are ok), music production and originality.
There is no age limit to enter. However, please note that entrants under 18 years old would require a parent or guardian to sign on his/her behalf.
